Farmhouse Reimagined

A long-time client extended their property with adjacent land and a modest, existing farmhouse, which they envisioned as a guesthouse. Marguerite Rodgers and Peter Zimmerman Architects reinvented the plan while retaining the familiar farmhouse structure. State-of-the-art technology, new lighting, and updated finishes for the kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms were seamlessly integrated. The property expansion provided the opportunity to improve the landscape and location of the entry drive to the primary residence. The upgraded interior space of the farmhouse reflects the owners’ lifestyle and sensibility while incorporating amenities for family and friends that include workspaces, game rooms, and a gym. Fresh and inviting, the family’s collection of artwork and mid-century and antique furniture are combined to make a bold statement.
