Shore Retreat

The perfect escape from city life, this vacation home is ideal for gathering family and friends. While the design of the house is traditional, the interior is joyful, with unabashed color and texture from art and objects in play against neutral walls, upholstery, and flooring. Integration of custom area rugs makes the house feel lighter and larger. Comfortable, casual, and stylishly eclectic, modern furnishings mix with antiques and vintage pieces throughout the home. New white wooden shutters with wide blades effectively reinterpret a time-honored design for shade and light. Select works of art curated from the clients’ collection were reframed to add familiarity in a new context. The completed design creates a delightful, welcoming environment for the homeowners and their frequent guests.
